An Artistic Denver Bathroom
Working on this project was exciting for me as the clients enjoy design and art, so I had an opportunity to express my creativity and experiment. I chose a hyper-modern look for the space with an abundance of natural light and a light color palette. And, I designed this small area in a manner that gives it a more spacious look and feel.
My Denver design studio completely transformed the space from cramped and cluttered to a sophisticated, minimal oasis of modern luxury. This Englewood project was featured on the Denver Life Magazine segment of Colorado and Company’s KUSA-TV show on YouTube, and it was also published in Denver Life Magazine.
To add an artistic aspect, we juxtaposed circular mirrors with a floating vanity — all of which are custom-made and imported from Italy. The vanity even has a towel warmer. We maximized storage as we wanted to give the bathroom an elegant, clutter-free look.
The circular mirrors have been placed on a background of hand-made mosaic micro tile that enhances the visual appeal of the mirrors. The artwork adds a pop of color to the neutral hues, while the abstract rugs stay true to the artistic vibe.
We extended the mosaic tile theme to the walk-in shower to keep the design language cohesive, and the glass enclosure provides a sense of openness while showing off the sleek fixtures that we chose for the shower.
We enjoyed designing every part of this project and were thrilled to share it with Denver Life Magazine. Take a look, but before you do, here are two pieces of very good advice: always work with a licensed, insured general contractor and don’t start renovating without first locking-in a budget. See the video of this tv segment and learn more dos and don’ts. Happy viewing!
Here’s another video that highlights the before and after of how we transformed this master bathroom.
