Remote Designing: Not Just For Out-of-Staters Anymore

Borders don’t restrict good design, and our Denver studio’s remote design services are a testament to that. I’m happy to share that our client base has grown beyond the confines of Colorado. We have clients in Chicago, New York, California, and even outside the States.

We have been designing homes remotely long before recent events inspired designers to explore providing such services. I love the personal and intimate part of the design process, and even though we might be designing a client’s home remotely, that personal quality isn’t lost. We use the latest technologies to keep in touch with our clients and ensure that they stay as involved in the process as they like.

How We Do it

When we design a home remotely, we first create mood boards and presentations that outline the style, aesthetic, furniture, color palette, and mood of the home. We present these to our clients, and once the final design is agreed on, we begin the execution by sourcing the furniture and upholstery. Once the furniture is installed, we then stylize the home with lights, art, window treatments, custom accents, and everything else that the interior design process entails.

Mood Board Planning

Clients are welcome to stay as in touch with the process as they like, always being given regular updates so that they can maintain confidence in the direction of the project.

With all of the changes in delivering services last year, we adapted many of our service delivery systems to support our local clients. We are finding that our local clients find much benefit to the new touchpoints that technology affords, keeping them in the loop without imposing on their busy schedules. Our remote design tools are making headway into all of our projects as it allows us to better communicate and collaborate, track and report.
