We will contact you by email to schedule an appropriate time for a preliminary phone interview. Finding the right fit between you and your designer is important because you will be working together for several months if not a few years. This initial telephone interview will take about 15 minutes and starts the interior design process.
During this initial phone conversation, we mutually decide if we are potentially a good match.
Next, we schedule a pre-proposal consultation at your home or office. We send you a Design Discovery Questionnaire (DDQ) and the Letter of Agreement prior to our pre-proposal consultation. This meeting takes between 1 ½ -2 hours depending on the size of your project. All financial and design decision-makers should be present to review the scope of work, your planned investment, and services requested.
Since we provide ideas and suggestions during this meeting, we do request a consultation fee. This consultation fee will be credited to your account should you decide to move forward.
After you review and authorize the Letter of Agreement we schedule a date for a proposal meeting.
During this session, we review the scope of services and the value based fixed fee options that most clients prefer. However, we do offer an hourly fee for smaller projects. The proposal meeting lasts approximately 30 minutes to one hour. When you agree to the statement of work and submit the retainer/deposit we then set up a date for the design concept presentation.
Please note, we need access to the home during weekdays for site visits, and if you prefer a value based fee, we complete the site survey prior to the proposal meeting. We assess and document the project, and meet with our contractors during these site visits. We schedule these site visits at your convenience. We do not require that our clients hire our preferred contractors, but unless they have specific contractors they would want us to use, we use our preferred contractors to develop the design and provide estimates. Having a working relationship with our contractors and being familiar with their personalities, work ethics, talents and expertise allows us to give our clients the best experience possible.
Your design concept presentation includes drawings, materials, samples, renderings and estimates for labor, products and materials. We also submit a timeline for the project including but not limited to Gantt Charts where you can see how the project will be executed and when is going to be completed.
When you are satisfied with the design concept, you approve the selections and provide payment. We keep you informed about the schedule and your responsibilities throughout the project so you always know what to expect.
Payment options are in personal check or credit cards. Please note that credit card payments include a convenience fee.
Once all the selections are completed, all product and material sourcing is done through us. Our firm places the orders, deals with the suppliers, and takes care of the on time delivery. We make this process transparent and worry-free for you.
Our contractors will execute the project under our supervision. We project manage the crews and material suppliers to make sure the quality of the work is being met. Everyone involved in this process has liability insurance, workers comp and all the required business licenses and permits to ensure that the work is being done exceeding established city and construction guidelines.
We install all products, furniture and furnishing pieces ordered to make your home the place you always imagined. We use ONLY white glove delivery companies to make sure everything is delivered with the highest standards of quality. After installation we provide you with a checklist and conduct a walk-through to make sure we exceed your expectations.
Our ultimate goal is to make this entire process a great experience for you. We are confident this is going to be the case. We may just ask you for a photo shoot of your place or a referral after we get done.
